Itinerary
Arrive in Saigon city, welcome by our driver and transfer to hotel for check in. Free and easy. Overnight at hotel in Saigon Ho Chi Minh City formerly named Saigon is the largest city and economic center of Vietnam always bustled with activities of modern life. It is where businesses converge and shoppers indulge themselves into unlimited choices. However the city also carries with it a rich historical legacy in contrast with its dazzling glamor.
Take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of the both the Indochina wars. Have lunch at local restaurant Depart for Cu Chi tunnel, the trip will take approximately one and a half hour bus driving. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served. Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun.
Leaving the hustle and bustle of Saigon City and start your trip to depart for My Tho, the town lies on the left side of the Mekong River. Upon arrival, visit Vinh Trang pagoda which sated back to the late 19th century. Then boarding the sampan and cruising down the river around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands. Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking around country lane and seeing orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, folk song music which performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation. Riding a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son canal and treat yourself in the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business, visit honey-bee farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop. Have lunch at local restaurant. Break time. In the afternoon, time for cycling around the Tan Thach village, meet the local villagers to experience the local daily life in the Mekong delta. Hammock relaxing and enjoy cool breeze for those can’t join the cycling trip.
You will be transferred to the bus station by our driver, then you take shuttle bus to Phnom Penh. It takes around 6 hours for route Saigon – Phnom Penh Upon arrival in Phnom Penh Airport, pick up by our driver with guide then transfer to your comfortable hotel for check in. (Official check in 14:00 and check out 12:00pm). Meal on your own account and overnight in Phnom Penh.
Our guide will pick you at your hotel and start a half day city tour including the Victory Monument, and the National Museum (called as Musee des Beaux-Arts). Next, you’ll visit a French archaeologist and painter, Georges Groslier, designed it in Khmer style in 1917. The museum contains a collection of Khmer art - notably sculptures – from throughout the ages. You’ll also discover the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda, located within the grounds of the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. The treasures found inside includes a solid gold Buddha encrusted and weighing 90 kilograms and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha. We continue to visit to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S 21), followed the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek it is approximately 15Km from the city. You’ll witness Cambodias horrible recent past. We will also visit Russian market (Psah Tuol Thom Pong), a lively outdoor market where you will find antiquities, silver and gold jewelry, gems, silk, kramas, stone and wood carvings, as well as T-Shirts, CDs and other souvenirs. End of day stop at the Central market and in right time to views over the tree-lined avenues of the city during sunset (afternoon tour) then back to the hotel.
Breakfast at hotel, our driver will pick you up at hotel lobby and transfer you to bus station. Then, you take shuttle bus to Siem Reap. The distance 312km, takes around 5-6hours. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, smoothly transfer hotel check in. Meal on your own account and overnight in Siem Reap.
Explore Angkor's ancient wonders with a new group of friends! The first stop is the Angkor Thom complex. Within these magnificent walls, you'll discover the fascinating beauty of Bayon and the world-famous Ta Prohm (Tomb Raider) Temple. Following that, satiate your hunger at one of the many local restaurants within the Angkor Complex with some delicious Cambodian cuisine! Your final two stops will be at the massive and gorgeous Angkor Wat, followed by a stunning sunset view from the top of Phnom Bakheng. The temples on this tour are among the largest in the Angkor Complex, and Phnom Bakheng has a 300person limit at the peak, so we keep the temple count low to ensure enough time at each spectacular stop! We'll return to town once the sun has set (around 6:30 p.m.) and your legs have grown tired.
