Ladakh is a region in the northernmost part of India and is known for its starkly beautiful landscapes, ancient monasteries, and unique culture. Tourism in Ladakh has been growing in recent years, with more and more visitors coming to explore this remote and rugged region. Some popular tourist attractions in Ladakh include: Leh Palace – a nine-story palace built in the 17th century by King S engge Namgyal.

Hemis Monastery – one of the largest and wealthiest monasteries in Ladakh, known for its annual Hemis Festival.

Pangong Tso Lake – a beautiful high-altitude lake that spans the border between India and China.

Nubra Valley – a remote and stunningly beautiful valley known for its sand dunes and the double-humped Bactrian camels.

Tour Highlights

  • Enjoy the Leh tour.
  • Visit Deskit, Hunder Cillages & do a lot more in Nubra Valley.
  • Beautiful historical views of Gurudwara Pathar Sahib.
  • Extensively pretty experience of viewing magnetic hills.

After landing in Leh, get welcomed by a representative, who will help in smooth transfer to the hotel. Upon reaching your hotel, complete the check-in formalities and spend a relaxing day getting proper rest.Ladakh is a region that is located at a high elevation and taking the altitude sickness in serious consideration, the whole day will be at leisure. In the evening, enjoy a hot dinner. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Breakfast at the Hotel. Get ready for an adventurous ride to 'Sham Valley', which is beautifully nestled around the Srinagar - Leh highway. Start off the sightseeing by paying homage to the martyrs of the Indo-Pak War at the Hall of Fame. Visit the Spituk Gompa which also has a museum on the premises housing ancient masks, weapons and Thangkas (Buddhist Paintings). Enjoy delicious langar at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and know the story behind the construction of this Gurudwara by the army. Another interesting place to visit today is Magnetic Hill, a small stretch of the road that defies the law of gravity. Visit Indus Sangam Viewpoint to watch the confluence of Zanskar and Indus Rivers. Visit SECMOL which is the real 3-idiots school. After a day filled with fun and adventure, return back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Leh.

Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for sightseeing to Leh. The main task for this day would be to arrange permits for visiting other areas in Ladakh. Please take a look at How to arrange Inner Line Permit in Ladakh for more details on this. Once you have the permits in hand, you can also use this day to visit some local places within the town like Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, or Leh market. An important factor that I must here is regarding cabs, either self-drive or with the driver. If the taxi is non-local, meaning that it was hired outside of Leh (including Srinagar and Manali as well), then it is only good enough to bring you to Leh. It cannot be used for visiting some of the tourist places like Nubra valley, Pangong Tso and Tso Moriri. In the evening go back to hotel and overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for Nubra Valley.Today you will be traveling to the famous Nubra valley. Reach Khardung La which is at a distance of about 35 kilometers from Leh, spend some time at the top, and descend towards Nubra valley. You can stay at either Diskit or Hunder for the night. It is a 6-8 hours journey depending on your speed. If time allows, you can drive all the way to Turtuk and stay there instead. The Maitreya Buddha statue, sand dunes, and Bactrian camels are the most famous tourist attractions that you should see. Hot Water Springs and Yarab Tso Lake near Panamik are also worth visiting. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel Post breakfast check out from Hotel and Leh (Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport) drop. Return back to your home town.
